Paulo Gomes

Paulo Gomes is a global business leader, active environmentalist and a key political actor in Guinea Bissau.

His career highlights include Executive Director on the Board of the World Bank Group representing 25 African nations, Alternate Director at the World Bank, Director of Strategic Planning and Principal Adviser to the Minister leading the effort to introduce the country into the West African Monetary Union, Board Member of Ecobank, Asky Airlines, the Green Climate Fund and Chairman of AFIG. He is the co-Founder of NACP, President of the Benten Institute, co-Chairman of the Afrochampion initiative and a Board Member of the African Union Special Covid-19 Fund.

For the last 25 years, he has advised several heads of state and governments on key projects throughout the African continent.
